The KOSC is a 501(c)3 non-profit association. Our specific purpose is to raise funds to sponsor charitable, educational, and welfare projects at Kirtland Air Force Base and the local community. Profits from the Thrift Shop are used each year to award college scholarships to high school seniors and continuing education dependents/spouses. The scholarship amount varies from year to year with a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $1000 which may be increased/decreased at the discretion of the KOSC board of governors.
Graduating seniors, military spouses and continuing education students of Kirtland AFB military are eligible to apply for the 2012 KOSC Scholarships. Last year we awarded $12,000 in scholarships.
